Association for Youth Empowerment

 January 30 through April 4

Join AYE in partnership with Challenge Day Leader Michael J. Allen in observing a Season for Peace and Nonviolence (SPAN). Michael serves as a local SPAN taskforce leader.

What is SPAN?
Your opportunity to pledge 64 ways in 64 days

A Season for Peace and Nonviolence was the creation of co-founders Dr. Arun Gandhi, grandson of M.K. Gandhi, and the Association for Global New Thought. In 1998, the dates January 30th and April 4th represented the 50th and 30th anniversaries, respectively, of the assassinations of M.K. Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Why get involved?
Your opportunity to be the change

Observing SPAN and consciously practicing its principles can help heal, transform and empower your community. Almost every neighborhood, family, organization and business can benefit from transformation.

How do I get involved?
Your opportunity to make a difference

If you are interested in learning more about the principles of SPAN or implementing a program in your community, workplace, house of worship or organization, contact Michael Allen to lead a discuss or workshop. You also can start your personal movement by signing and adopting pledges and practices from the SPAN website www.agnt.org. Here you will find:
  •  Workplace, school, family and congregation Pledges for Nonviolence
  • 64 Days, 64 Ways Daily Commitments
